The Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson’s love affair with Bam Adebayo, has been a spectacle for her followers. The most prominent of which was when Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava presented the 27-year-old NBA star with a key to the city. Wilson and other Aces players were present to witness the celebration as the Mayor enunciated, “She won gold in women’s basketball. I guess that has something to do with Bam and the Heat, huh? Being here today?” The duo, however, didn’t speak much about their relationship and didn’t make any public appearances. Until Now.

But their online tweets, which were speculated to be for each other, sparked a lot of rumors. However, in the latest development, Wilson was seen with Adebayo in public for the first time after breaking the WNBA single-season scoring record, and perhaps this is the confirmation every fan needed.

A TMZ correspondent spotted the ‘couple’ walking in downtown Indianapolis on Thursday after Wilson had accomplished the rare feat. The 2017 NCAA Champion surpassed Jewell Loyd’s 2023 record of 939 points by scoring 27 points against the Indiana Fever on Thursday.

When Wilson had broken Loyd’s record on Wednesday, Adebayo had taken to X and tweeted “U’nanimous.” Many fans cited this as a compliment for the 2x WNBA MVP since she uses an apostrophe in her name. It was also a subtle hint at her aim for the season: sweeping the league MVP honor. Last year, when Wilson had won the Championship title, she was denied the MVP honors. Though it isn’t clear if the Miami Heat center was referring to the MVP honor or the GOAT debate, nonetheless fans were excited to see, in what they felt was, Adebayo’s support of the former South Carolina Gamecocks star.

Then. even when the ‘key’ moment from the Mayor’s ceremony was posted on X both Adebayo and Wilson had commented their perspective about indirectly referring to the Dawn Staley mentee as his girlfriend. The 28-year-old tried to ward off rumors by posting a “What?” meme, hilariously referring to the shock Adebayo’s real girlfriend was in for. Meanwhile, the 3× NBA All-Star cherished the moment as for him getting the key “was smooth.” And the now duo has been spotted together. Well, some fans are sure that the two are in love. However, this wasn’t the first time that they were seen together.

Wilson and Adebayo were seen together for the first time in Las Vegas when the two were in a training camp for the Olympics. While none of them confirmed anything at that time, rumors were rife that the two were dating. Only to add fuel to the fire, the two, after winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, shared a handshake. Though it was enough proof for many, some fans stated that the two might be good friends and also share a cordial relationship because of their professions. However, what made the speculations all the more authentic was that Wilson had a simple handshake with the GOAT and her ‘brother’ LeBron James.

Next, the ‘good friends’ were spotted together, exiting a store in Paris and getting into a car. This time it was even captured on film despite being a regular life moment. Even then, the pair didn’t come out to reveal anything about their bonding, but as of now with the latest incident, it looks like Adebayo is an indispensable friend to Wilson.

Maybe Wilson will finally come forward to admit if there is any truth behind the speculations. Perhaps then fans can be sure of the importance of Adebayo in her life.
