A few days ago, the 22-year-old Iowa native attended a reunion where she reconnected with her close collegiate friends, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall. “Caitlin back at Iowa,” read a post by Instagram’s Overtime WBB. The trio joined coach Jan Jensen for some practice sessions, recorded a podcast Jada Gyamfi, and received custom rings from Iowa for their conference titles and trips to the final four. But when it came to attending the games, we couldn’t spot the besties together.

According to a post on X by No Space WBB, Kate Martin and Liz Kitley, attended the Virginia Tech vs. Iowa Hawkeyes game this Tuesday, but Clark was nowhere to be seen.

“It’ll be fun. Give us something to do all throughout the offseason. But it’s definitely still ‘go Hawks’ as well,” Clark had said after McCaffery had made it as the Bulldogs’ assistant coach. But it appears the Fever #22 has been needed elsewhere, and thrice at that, missing both of Iowa’s so far.

Another courtside appearance for Caitlin Clark; not the Bulldogs

For the first time, Clark attended a Butler game at Hinkle Fieldhouse following Stephanie White’s introductory press conference. How could she miss it? It was Butler University’s men’s basketball season opener against Missouri State University. She’d even hinted earlier, “It’ll be fun to go to those games.”

That wasn’t it, though. She was spotted attending another Butler game on November 8th. There she was, sitting in the audience, cheering not only for the team but also McCaffery, who joined Butler’s coaching staff this September.“Obviously, he’s been around basketball his whole life and invested a lot into it,” Clark had expressed. McCaffery has worked hard to reach this point, which Clark acknowledges, so it’s no surprise she would want to support him courtside at as many games possible.

But today, on November 10th, she’s courtside cheering for her home team, the Indiana Pacers. As the Pacers took on the New York Knicks, Clark sat alongside McCaffery, reciprocating her support for Tyrese Haliburton and Co. who so often made it to the Fever’s games. This would be her second appearance for the team this season. So you know, Butler or Pacers, Clark will be there to cheer for her team. Considering the season is only beginning and her off-season isn’t all packed, Iowa could soon see its star in the stands and often too.
