The WNBA with each game produces new controversies. The power-punched games have the stars losing their cool sometimes and taking uncalled-for fouls at other times. The same problem is being faced by the Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese. Reese has been the center of attention in quite a few negative instances and this has only aggravated her problems in the public sphere. Recently, the Georgia Tech assistant coach came forward to warn Reese of the possible problems that might arise due to her behavioral issues.

Bonzi Wells was present during a podcast of Sheed &Tyler when he opined that Reese might fall prey to the Rasheed Wallace “epidemic.” This had all the fans closely noting down each and every word to get a total understanding of the issue.

Wells was discussing an array of issues when he was asked if Reese could become the next Wallace on Tuesday. Wells gained a total understanding of the situation before voicing his opinion and then issued a warning to Reese. “She got to just learn from this situation. Hope it don’t become a Rasheed Wallace type epidemic for her. Her… it’s an epidemic when Rasheed get to go on it becomes like… cause controllable and then it spreads like… it spreads… like… it’s like… but then it spreads,” Wells suggested.

Notably, Reese was fined $1000 after she did not make an appearance in the post-game press conference after her team lost to Indiana. The Fever had defeated the Sky by a 71-70 margin. Another behavioral problem from Reese’s side was noticed when her teammate Chennedy Carter shoved Caitlin Clark to the ground, Reese was seen standing from the bench and clapping for Carter.

Furthermore, Reese had also waived her arm at the WNBA referee when a personal foul was called against her during her game against the New York Liberty. This resulted in a double technical foul and added to Reese’s woes since she had to be ejected from the game.

All these instances remind one of Wallace who is the most fined -player in the NBA with a total of $205,000 in fines. He had a total of 8 instances of fines against him. Therefore these situations could haunt Reese’s thriving career. Surprisingly, the most fined Wallace too gave his opinion on the double technical foul received by Reese.

Rasheed Wallace supports Angel Reese

As per Wallace, it was a little partial on the side of the referee to give her a foul since she was standing too far away from the officials and hence they couldn’t have heard if she said something. And if she had yelled in anger then it probably would have been caught on the mic. Therefore she didn’t deserve a double tech as per Wallace only for waving her hand.

“But they don’t get her back in that game you know… What I’m saying that’s real wild that you didn’t hear that publicly…. but if we don’t hear that then why she get a double tech for the ejection,” Wallace remarked.

Probably Reese will learn from these instances and hopefully, understand the gravity of the situation to avoid getting caught in such circumstances in the future.
