After its inaugural 40-game season the WNBA Playoffs are finally underway, and the results have not disappointed. While there hasn’t been a major upset with all the favorites winning their respective games the level of basketball seen so far is pretty commendable. Defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces are surely the team to beat, and a case could be made for the Commissioner’s Cup champions the New York Liberty to win their first WNBA crown this season. The Liberty who started their Playoffs journey against the Washington Mystics last night beat them by 15 points with star Sabrina Ionescu being the standout performer for the NY side.

Ionescu who recently broke the NBA-WNBA 3-point shooting record was on fire last night as she closed out Game 1 in the Barclays Center. An NBA star and Sabrina’s “biggest fan” was also in attendance last night as he showed his support to the 25-year-old during her record-breaking night.
