The news comes as a major bittersweet experience for fans as they were excited to get their hands on the latest basketball collection, but unfortunately, only a few were able to fulfill their wish. This also must be happy times for the NBA legend Michael Jordan who is the only baller other than Clark to have a deal with the company. Hence, when Clark was signed by Wilson in May she was happy to share the same space with Jordan, who had inked the agreement in 1984 shortly after joining the NBA.
Clark during the agreement had revealed how life had come a full circle moment for her. She used to play with her brothers using Wilson basketball as a child in the driveway. And now when she was offered a contract with the balling company it was nothing short of a dream come true. Plus she had also mentioned that she wanted the same for budding ballers, who could draw inspiration from her and take steps forward to fulfill their dreams. However, this is not the first time that the Wilson ball has sold out so easily.
Caitlin Clark’s Wilson basketballs sold out in July
Clark’s collection of four basketballs comprising of WNBA Ascent, Caitlin Clark Highlight reel basketball, EVO NXT 3951, and Caitlin Clark Repetition basketball were all sold out just 11 hours after their launch in July. The collection was available in different designs and colors and had lured the target audience quite well, particularly due to Clark being the brand ambassador. The balls were priced from an economical $25 to $100 and had won hearts with their cool designs.
The ‘Caitlin Clark EVO NXT 3951 Game Basketball’ had attracted a lot of attention, especially because it had Clark’s childhood dreams written on it. “Get a basketball scholarship. Play in the WNBA.” And hence, Clark had hoped to inspire the next generation of ballers with it.
