Lexie and Lacey Hull: The most identical twins in sports? What do you think?

“Our entire lives we’ve always done everything together.” Since her childhood, Lexie Hull’s biggest competitor has been her identical twin sister, Lacie. Their competitive spirit was so intense that their mother, Jaime, decided to separate them in school, placing them in different classes throughout elementary school. While they both re-united during their college time as they achieved NCAA glory together, their paths separated again when Lexie chose the WNBA and Lacie took a different path. Nevertheless, it’s obvious that people, sometimes, mix up the twins because of their striking resemblance. But, what’s even more surprising is that even their mother occasionally struggles to tell them apart as well.

Recently, there was a video uploaded on X that had a compilation of Lexie Hull’s game highlights and interview. She’s always been the pretty eyes princess. @lexiehulll,” the video was captioned. Well, as soon it caught the attention of the twin sisters’ mother, she pointed out that the snippets have some glimpses of Lacie as well. “Love this. 🥰 It actually has @lexiehulll AND Lacie in some of these. 🤣🤣. No big deal, I have confused them at times and I’m their mom. lol 🤣 #identicaltwins,” tweeted Jaime, the mother of the Hull sisters.

The video was thoughtfully put together to follow Lexie’s career journey, featuring highlights from her time at Stanford Cardinal, where she and her sister Lacie played together. The Hull twins spent four years side by side on the court at Stanford, elevating their bond even further when they clinched the NCAA title together in 2021. And it was their fierce competitive spirit that played a significant role in shaping them into talented basketball players.

However, right now, the Hull twins are no longer playing side by side, but they have adapted ways to stay connected to each other despite their different paths. Let’s discuss their bond and the impact Lacie made on the Fever guard, who is teammates with rookie star Caitlin Clark herself.

How did the Hull Twins’ bond shape their journey?

“If one of us was outside practicing ball handling or shooting on our hoop, we heard the ball outside and the other one came out. We wouldn’t let the other one try to get ahead,” Lexie told The Stanford Daily on how that twin bond inspired her. Back in 2018, when Lexie and Lacie Hull joined the Stanford Cardinal, the team’s record soared to an impressive 116-16. That’s a staggering 100 more wins than losses, a testament to the impact they made together.

Have an interesting take?

As their time at Stanford was drawing to a close, the Hull twins faced the reality that their future was leading them in different directions. “The transition from college to the WNBA was harder [than high school to college] for me because of all of those times where I would’ve leaned on someone or talked to someone who understood,” stated Lexie. However, the sisters might get some time together again as Lexie will be participating in the AU season in Dallas, Texas.

The sisters have been in touch through the social media ever since they had their careers as a wall between them, but Lexie’s opportunity at Texas will just make her a short drive away from Lacie who resides in Austin. “I look forward to being able to support [her] in person!” expressed the Fever star as she believes she wouldn’t have reached the heights without twin sister, Lacie’s, presence.
