Caitlin Clark is revisiting her Iowa roots with former Hawkeyes teammates, but one current Indiana teammate has been left miffed. Back at her alma mater to receive her Big Ten and Final Four rings, CC has been touring the campus and reminiscing old times with this much-awaited homecoming. But with her upcoming plans back in the Midwest, she has left behind Lexie Hull in a non-basketball event.
Appearing on The Ringer WNBA Show‘s latest episode, the 25-year-old discusses her famous rookie teammate. Then the conversation turns to a special guest coming to town for the next three days – Taylor Swift! Host Seerat Sohi asks Hull if she will be back in Indy from New York and the Fever player answers in the affirmative, “I’ll be back. I know she [Clark] has some tickets so I’ll see if she can slide one my way but we’ll see.”
Sohi then asks, “Wait, do we have to put the full court press on? Who is she taking if she’s not taking you?” To which Hull replies in a singsong tone, “I don’t know, you better ask her. Someone’s going to be upset.” Sohi then laughs, “I think someone might be you it sounds like.”

Caitlin Clark has long been a Taylor Swift fan and famously, or infamously, caused a stir in the W when she ‘liked’ a social media post from the musician supporting Kamala Harris in the upcoming elections. Swifties have also expressed their love for the basketball phenom, and it’s not really a surprise that the Fever rookie will be in attendance at Lucas Oil Stadium for one of the Nov 1-3 dates. Or who knows, maybe all of them! But Lexie Hull might not be with her.
So Caitlin is 100% going to the Taylor Swift Eras tour in Indy. But Lexie is saying she’s not sure if Caitlin is gonna slide her a ticket “someone’s gonna be upset” 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/fAmEmAh3VI

Hull, just named as the second last player in Unrivaled, is expected to be a pull for her ultra famous Fever teammate, who has so far shown no signs of agreeing to play the 3×3 format. Unrivaled executives are perceiving their obvious closeness over the course of the season as a plus point but it’s still uncertain whether CC will play in Miami in January.
Nevertheless, she’s going to enjoy this offseason to the fullest and a Taylor Swift concert is at the top of the bucket list. And as Sohi recently discovered, Clark shares some uncanny similarities with the musician!

Caitlin Clark doesn’t know about you but she’s feeling 22
In a discussion on Fever’s rumored new coach Stephanie White, Seerat Sohi and guest Scott Agness discovered a series of peculiar similarities between Swift and Clark on The Ringer WNBA Show yesterday. While the pop star is known for favoring the number 13, Red also made 22 popular. And as we already know, Caitlin Clark has made the number famous with her jersey at both Iowa and in Indiana.
While she chose that number because she was born on Jan 22, 2002, Agness reveals on the podcast, “The closer of all stories is that Stephanie wore No. 22, comes here with coach No. 22, the storylines are just two perfect there for that marriage.” Sohi goes one step further, “The numerology aspect of all this is so fascinating, especially the 22 because you consider everything that Caitlin did at 22. She wore 22. Also I think one of the biggest years of her life, or her career was 2022.”

Agness then points out, “Let me add one more – who’s in town this week? Taylor Swift, to wrap up her tour in the US and who’s gonna be there? Caitlin.” Now if only Swift sings that song at her concert in Indy on the day CC is present! And if only Stephanie White does actually end up coaching the Fever! As Seerat Sohi says, “We’re all feeling 22.”
