The Indiana Fever is yet to secure its first win in the 2024 edition of the WNBA. It was expected that by grabbing the No. 1 overall pick for the second year in a row in the form of Caitlin Clark, the tides would turn in their favor. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened yet, and the franchise is getting into the negative light of some eminent basketball personalities. The one reflection that has the potential to grab immense traction is that of LeBron James.

The all-time leading scorer in NBA history never shies away from extending his support to the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer. However, the same cannot be said about Indiana. James recently put forth his honest opinions about the struggles of the 2012 WNBA champions with JJ Reddick on the Mind the Game’ podcast. James said, “This is the second year in a row that they had the No.1 pick. So do y’all know what that mean? That mean that they’re not that good.”

Indiana Fever hasn’t been in the playoffs since 2016. Apparently, this is the longest streak for any franchise. In addition to this, in nine years, not a single winning season has been posted by them. On top of that, the past five seasons have resulted in just 28 victories.

Anyhow, Bron’s narratives also heaped praise on Caitlin Clark. Earlier, he expressed, “The one thing that I love that she’s bringing to her sport is that more people want to watch. More people want to tune in. I saw for the first time that they had a chartered plane.”

Caitlin Clark has joined the likes of Candace Parker, Sue Bird, and Nikki McCray to score 50+ points and 15+ assists in her first three WNBA appearances. This tally reached 68 after Indiana hosted Connecticut. And this is what makes Bron keep coming to applaud her.

The LA Lakers star is not standing beside Caitlin Clark for the first time. In fact, he has followed her efforts through college basketball as well. Back on April 7, 2024, he also took a stand for the hooper by tweeting, “If you don’t rock with Caitlin Clark game you’re just a FLAT OUT HATER!!!!! Stay far away from them people!! PLEASE.”

This is what he said when the Iowa sensation was unable to win over South Carolina in the NCAA WBB Championship Finals. Moreover, while talking to JJ Reddick, he made sure that people didn’t twist the facts and understood that Caitlin Clark was going to bring many changes to their league.

Bron, who has been a part of the professional league for almost two decades now, also gave the rookie some advice. According to him, as long as she doesn’t speak up on anything or get involved, she should be fine. And surely, Caitlin Clark has been managing her popularity quite seamlessly.
