Kendrick Lamar wasn’t letting an opportunity slip to make for a dramatic Super Bowl night. As the Philadelphia Eagles defied the odds on the ground, the Not Like Us artist blended music with sports royalty on a stage of greatest acts. Now Angel Reese wasn’t just watching, she was fully locked in. As Lamar and Serena Williams brought the heat, she just had to rate the half-time. And yes, one received a special shoutout; from her followers too.
When Kendrick Lamar started his act with Samuel L. Jackson, no one was expecting Williams to move from the stands to the stage. But the 23-time Grand Slam champion rose up to the task and how. Williams made a cameo appearance dancing by the street lights and Angel Reese was all sold.
“10/10. plus serena. chefs kiss,” she wrote on X. SZA and Mustard too would also make an appearance later, but it was clear who stole the spotlight.

Although Williams wasn’t visible up close during the broadcast, she confirmed her presence with a tweet after the game: “Let’s go Super Bowl halftime??! I died a little!” She shared a photo of herself in the exact outfit worn during the performance.
The energy was off the charts, and fans were all in for the epic performance. From Reese hyping it up to everyone’s reactions on social media, it was clear that Lamar and Williams had everyone hooked. Comments were pouring in, and the love for these legends was real— maybe a little more for one than the other.

“SERENA!!!” one of the users agreed under Angel Reese’s post while another declared, “The queen has spoken.” But the excitement was coming in from all over.
Kencrick Lamar’s decision to bring in Williams was the best surprise of the half time. It did not matter how nervous the tennis icon was “Bringing out Serena >>>,” one expressed.
“SERENA!!!! ITS THE QUEEN,” came another’s response. Well, it wasn’t just the spectators who had a blast. Williams admits she loved the experience. The rapper was right there to make it better. “From Alondra down to Central, better not speak on Serena,” he mentioned her in the song.

“THE QUEEN” another pointed out. 23 grand slam titles, four Olympics gold, 14 women’s doubles, an author, an entrapreneur, and now she adds entertainment to the list. She’d enter doing doing a Crip Walk, after some practice while getting the final touch ups done behind-the-scenes. While she expresses to have died a little, she looked nothing like it. The comments prove that. There are speculationals behind the Grammy winner’s motive to bring the sports icon on stage for his famous diss track. But it could be as simple as they share a common hometown and that she’s a legend right there.
