Kelsey Plum’s scoring talent has gained her recognition in the basketball world. But an unusual action on her part earned her a nasty foul. The New York Liberty won their first Finals game in game 3 and interrupted the momentum of the Las Vegas Aces’ dominance. Though fouls are common in every competition, Plum’s unjustified foul on Breanna called into question the Aces’ game ethics. Regardless of the unpleasant, ugly moments, after two consecutive losses, the New York Liberty drew blood in the finals clash.

The long-awaited victory of Liberty shattered the winning record of Aces, demonstrating that it will not be an easy win. However. Breanna Stewart seemed to have been injured as she slumped on the ground.

The San Antonio Stars took All-Star MVP Kelsey Plum first overall in the 2017 WNBA Draft. She scores 18.7 points, pulls down 2.4 rebounds, and assists 4.5 times a game. In 2018, the San Antonio Stars moved to Las Vegas and adopted the moniker Las Vegas Aces.

Plum had therefore been a long-standing member of the Aces team. Kelsey has previously been penalized for fouls, but she hasn’t earned the terrible reputation for it. Whatever basketball fans say, the foul on Breanna Stewart was purposeful. We could clearly see Kelsey sprinting hard toward Stewart and giving her a forceful shove. It caused Breanna to lose her balance and fall extremely hard onto the floor while grabbing her neck.

It happened in the third quarter, with the Aces up 40 and Liberty up 45, when Breanna Stewart was looking carefully to grab the ball as Courtney Vandersloot attempted to hoop, and all of a sudden we realized Stewart was pushed to the ground by Kelsey when we heard the MC’s “plum man; she certainly earned that foul.”
