After a long wait, the official list of the women’s basketball team representing the United States at the Paris Olympics is out. For a record-breaking sixth time, the 5x gold medalist Diana Taurasi will feature in this mega sporting event. One of her fellow Olympians and 2x WNBA champion Kelsey Plum has unveiled her plans upon meeting Taurasi. And trash-talking is one of them while playing and hanging out together.
The Las Vegas Aces broke their three-game losing streak against the Phoenix Mercury. Anyhow, before these illustrious franchises could lock horns, there was an interesting exclusive interview given by Kelsey Plum. Seemingly, the No.10 of the Las Vegas Aces will also be joining Taurasi on the basketball court in Paris.
So, she was asked to reflect on Taurasi being the first basketball player in history to feature in 6 Olympic games. To which Plum replied in an interview on Desert Wave, “D is tremendous. That’s one of the reasons I started playing basketball. I saw her play, and really tried to emulate my game after her. She’s just a wonderful human being.”

Moments later, Plum also opened up about her equation with Taurasi and what the upcoming few days will be like for her alongside her. She further added, “I’m just so excited to play with her. Hang out with her for a month. Talk trash to her for a month.”
In the meantime, Plum’s contributions proved to be instrumental in handing the Aces their first victory since June 5th.
Kelsey Plum plays a vital hand in rescuing the Aces
The 5 ft 8 in point guard gave the third-best performance of the night for visitors after a remarkable exhibition from A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young. Her 32 minutes on the hardwood produced an offensive masterclass that comprised 16 points and 5 assists. In addition to this, she also showcased her defensive skills with her 3 rebounds out of which 2 fell in the defensive category.
It was a decent outing for her in terms of shooting with her being 5 of 16 from the field and 2 0f 9 from the three-point range. Along with Clark and Wilson, she was the third Aces player to have a 100% conversion rate from the free throw line (4 of 4).
