Competing for the Las Vegas Aces, Kelsey Plum has established herself as a star over the years. Recently, Plum extended her fame to another sport when she became the brand ambassador of Zip Co. Plum was invited to a special event where she got a chance to meet a 22-year-old NASCAR star. And fans were going berserk after seeing the power-packed combination of the two. 

Plum recently posted 6 images on the social media networking site Instagram where she was seen having a gala time at the NASCAR Xfinity Race at Sonoma Raceway. And she was the center of attention since she got a chance to meet racer Hailie Deegan.

As per her caption, Plum graced as the brand ambassador for Zip Co. In one of those six images that she posted online, she was seen with Deegan. In two others she was seen enjoying on the stage whereas in one she was sitting inside a race car. There were reporters too who were asking her important questions.

“Had an amazing time yesterday celebrating my new ambassadorship with @zip_usa. Not only was I the Grand Marshal of the Zip Buy Now, Pay Later 250 NASCAR Xfinity Race at Sonoma Raceway, I also met @hailiedeegan!” Plum wrote in her caption.

Notably, with this move, Plum extended her fame to 3 countries since Zip Co’s services extend to these countries. According to Statista, Australia has the highest number of merchants offering the service whereas the USA and New Zealand too occupy a major share of the market. Therefore, anyone who would have followed the brand closely would know of Kelsey Plum now.

Meanwhile, the Los Vegas Aces star’s linkup with Deegan also caught a lot of eyes. Deegan started at the 37th position. And finished at the 32nd place with 5 points. Deegan has previously won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Most Popular Driver from 2021-23. Therefore, she is bound to get a lot of people talking about her. And seeing the two stars together was a treat for the fans. Meanwhile, Plum would be looking forward to her upcoming WNBA games.

Presently, Plum averages a whopping 18.8 points per game with 4.9 assists per contest in the 2024 WNBA. The Aces have played 7 matches losing only one each to the Phoenix Mercury, the Atlanta Dream, and the Seattle Storm. Plum’s best performance this season came against the Mercury when she throttled 27 points and proved her resilience in a losing cause.

Plum would be now gearing up for the game against the Los Angeles Sparks and hoping that she shows her mettle once again and helps her team to take baby steps towards glory.
