“She is a tough cookie.” Becky Hammon did not know details about Kate Martin’s injury after their upset from Chicago. However, she knew what the Iowa alum was made of. Certainly, the Kate ‘Money’ Martin we all know has finally returned to Sin City for some action. And while she pulls up some shots, she is also making some connections stronger, specifically with the President of the Kate Martin fan club– Alysha Clark.

The official Instagram account of the Las Vegas Aces posted a series of wholesome photos of the recent practice session. On the floor were Kate Martin and Alysha Clark. “The vet 🤝 the rook,” they aptly captioned. Or also the admirer and the icon? The Aces was seen showcasing her ‘The Martini” t-shirts of the Kate Martin fan club back in June. “Kate Martin I am a part of the club,” she had proudly declared.

Now not only is this the fact that the former Hawkeye is fitting in perfectly with the back-to-back champions but also that her injured ankle had nothing on her.

There are still seven days more for the Aces to take on their 2023 WNBA Finals rival– the New York Liberty. Still, a good sight to see these players get into their jerseys and do what they love best.

Talking about love, Kate Martin has also been very busy off the court lately and she is not denying any signs of a love connection either. Over the WNBA’s Olympic break, she is definitely the one who has accomplished the most.

Connecting with the fans is something that every Iowa alum seems to have aced. From getting her photos clicked at the MVF 2024 to building her coaching career with the new Hawkeyes generation, she has done it all. One more thing that she did do was spend some quality time with her lady love. She gave us multiple sightings of the two. Whether comments on posts or mirror selfies of the two.

Kate Martin has also appeared in the Fresh Tawk podcast with her former teammate Jada Gyamfi. The two caught up with many things, including how the rookie would never want to have a normal life. Surely, she is loving the life that Las Vegas and the Aces have surprised her with. However, being part of the reigning champions squad also comes with its challenges as they will once again go against their WNBA rivals on August 17 to reopen the 28th season.

Still, it is always refreshing to see how loving Kate Martin is. While four of her teammates are still back in Paris, with only Megan Gustafson not playing for Team USA, it is great that the rookie has found another veteran who can take her under her wings.
