July 1, 2021. The date will forever be etched in the memory of fans and college and high school athletes because that was the day when the NIL deals were introduced. It allowed athletes to cash in on their potential and use the lucrative money for their game development. However, it wasn’t without its own set of problems. For one, the NIL didn’t allow immigrant athletes to make money through their partnerships with major brands. And one such player who suffered at the hands of this provision was the ex-South Carolina Gamecocks star, Kamilla Cardoso. However, that changed after Cardoso transitioned to WNBA, where she has now signed a partnership with a $240 Billion company and shared the news via social media platform TikTok.
A video of Cardoso endorsing their product was shared on X by a fan account which soon went viral. Cardoso in the video could be seen speaking highly of the beauty brand L’Oreal Paris’ products and using them in her makeup routine. “Hey, guys. As you already know I’m a professional athlete and today, I’m going to do a get ready with me,” Cardoso stated. The 23-year-old then took out True Match Lumi Glotion which is known to be a makeup highlighter.
She applied the hydrating glow lotion to one part of her face and opined, “When you look good, you feel good, you play good.” The Glotion gave significant results as she showed the glow she got after applying it to her face.

Cardoso had moved to the USA at the tender age of 15. A Brazilian by birth, Cardoso lived with her AAU coach and wasn’t proficient in English. Furthermore, as she committed to Syracuse and then to the Gamecocks, Cardoso couldn’t take full advantage of the NIL since she was an immigrant.
Now in the WNBA, she was seen in one of her first deals with the makeup company. She was drafted as the third overall pick by the Chicago Sky this season which allowed her to sign on endorsements. On the professional front, Cardoso will be looking to show an excellent display that can help her ink more such lucrative deals.
Kamilla Cardoso has been enchanting followers with GRWM
After being drafted in the W, Cardoso has been posting a series of Get Ready With Me videos. Her Instagram feed is filled with her exceptional fashion sense and she makes sure to enchant her fans. Cardoso had collaborated with the American Eagle for her recent GRWM. She was seen trying various denim shorts and tees for her summer look and she looked splendid in what she wore.
She gave a glimpse of different crop tops and shorts pairings which must have propelled her followers to buy from their favorite brands. Perhaps, Cardoso is taking complete advantage of passing out from college and getting a chance to sign endorsements with major brands.
