In basketball, as in life, the unexpected can change everything. Sometimes, a no-look pass catches everyone by surprise, and other times, it’s unexpected revelations from your former partner that catch you off guard. In this case, it’s former WNBA star Kysre Gondrezick, who has shared a surprising detail about her former partner, NBA champion Jaylen Brown.
In the Straight to Cam podcast, Gondrezick made this shocking reveal when talking about her non-negotiables in a relationship, saying, “Today it is non-negotiable for me when a guy tries to dim my light, I had to learn from you know my previous relationship is that it’s not okay.” She continues, “It’s funny because I was literally told your job is to sit here and be beautiful and quiet.”
This news shocked both Cameron Brink and Sydel Curry, but the former WNBA star has taken it as a lesson to learn. She said, “And so you learn and you end up becoming what you want to attract. I think that’s one of the greatest quotes. I don’t know if you guys have ever heard it, but it says, write down everything that you want to look for in a partner and become that, and then you make room for it.”

This is certainly what she has been up to after her split with NBA superstar Jaylen Brown, a breakup that many at the time thought came out of nowhere. Reports suggested that Brown was fully invested in her, with the couple frequently appearing together on the red carpet after starting their relationship last summer.
Rumors started swirling when fans noticed that she stopped showing up to Celtic games and was nowhere to be seen when Brown celebrated his 28th birthday in October but it was last month when it was officially confirmed that the power couple had broken up and with this shocking news it’s not surprised why they both part ways.
Now, Gondrezick is fully focused on her single life and has been spotted attending various events. Let’s take a look at some of them!
Kysre Gondrezick enjoying her single life
Gondrezick hasn’t spent much time on the hardwood lately after being released by the Chicago Sky last year. She has referred to this as a “transitioning” phase in her life, and by the looks of it, she’s certainly enjoying it.

The basketball player and model made the rounds at New York Fashion Week last month playing a key role in launching Kate Barton’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. She was also spotted at the Hero at Rockefeller Center, last month attending a dinner to celebrate Michael B. Jordan’s Men’s Chevron campaign for David Yurman.
It’s unfortunate to see Kysre Gondrezick and Jaylen Brown part ways, especially with fans so invested in their relationship. However, with her unexpected comments about the NBA superstar, it’s clear the breakup was necessary for her growth. It’s great to see her thriving in her single life, and fans will be eagerly awaiting her return to the court soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
