When Angel Reese was drafted as the No. 7 overall pick by the Chicago Sky, she inked a four-year, $324,383 contract with the team. This means she’s currently making $73,439 for her debut season in the WNBA. So, when Unrivaled promised a minimum of $100,000 to each player, Reese became one of the first ten to get onboard. However, the salary advantage is not the only lucrative point Reese found in the Breanna Stewart- and Napheesa Collier-led new 3×3 league.

It’s a two-way trade between Angel Reese and Unrivaled.

She also contributed to the merch sales up 500% this year. “players deserve compensation and ownership that reflect their value,” Collier had said when introducing Unrivaled which will be offering its inaugural players equity in the league. So a little benefit of Reese’s popularity wouldn’t be all bad an addition for the new venture.
