Holding on to the finger of father LaMont, a four-year-old with two pigtails attended a basketball camp in Burton Park. And this is when her love affair with the game began. Fast forward 28 years, and that little kid from Erie, Pennsylvania is now a household name in Minnesota. A veteran of the sport, Kayla McBride hardly needs any introduction. Ever since her advent into the professional world, the 4× WNBA All-Star has been a tremendous asset regardless of any franchise she’s been a part of.
But, she took things up a notch this time around when she led the Lynx to become first-time champions of the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup. While it was an absolute delight for many to see her excel professionally, others are wondering if things are sailing so smoothly for her personally as well.
Despite her so many social engagements, there is nothing conclusive about her married life. Still, there are plenty of people in her life who are really close to her heart. Kayla McBride was born June 25, 1992, and is the first child of LaMont and LuAnn McBride. Her father used to work as an official in high school games along with participating in summer camps. In addition to this, he also had a major hand to play in sharpening her overall shooting skills.

Meanwhile, she credits her commitment and drive towards the sport to her mother LuAnn McBride. Moreover, the ability to stay grounded despite all the fame around her is another trait that she acquired from her mother. Apart from this, Kayla McBride also has 2 younger sisters and 1 younger brother. While Karlee and Jayden themselves have been basketball athletes representing Indiana University and AAU respectively, Aaron associated himself with the game at the high school level.
All these family members played a key part in helping her out of a very difficult phase in her life.
