Caitlin Clark a Red Sox fan? How do Yankees fans feel about this unexpected twist?

While the WNBA already keeps everyone hooked, the league stars’ involvement in throwing MLB pitches just all adds to the drama. There have been players who have thrown their pitches earlier and WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark added her name as well as she threw her first pitch at Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs. However, it seems that Clark is no more a Cubs stan but has a new favorite franchise.

Recently, a tweet from Jomboy Media has created buzz as it show Caitlin Clark being spotted at New York Yankees Stadium. Clark’s presence was already something of intrigue, but her Yankee jersey and cap outfit just solidified the fact that she might be throwing a pitch for the Yankees this time. It comes as a surprise as the rookie player has been a hardcore Cub often showing it off by wearing her own No. 22 Cubs jersey with “Clark” on the back. Let’s know more about Clark turning into a Yankee fan.

During her Olympic break, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark took a memorable trip to Yankee Stadium for the Bombers’ doubleheader against the Rangers. Clad in a Yankees jersey and cap, Clark toured the stadium, met players, and posed for photos with figures like Rangers’ Josh Jung and Yankees’ Aaron Judge. She was spotted in Yankee’s training room as well standing alongside Judge.

Well, Clark didn’t stop there—she also made a special appearance in the broadcast booth and shared her excitement about meeting Judge and revealed that this was her very first visit to Yankee Stadium, making it an unforgettable experience. The WNBA rookie even discussed the Olympic final which was about to start at that moment, where Team USA fights France.

However, all these blocks quite solve the puzzle of Clark being a Yankee supporter and might throw a pitch for them. Can this change in choice affect Clark’s stature or fandom? While speculation is impossible, fans strongly stereotype the Yankees, often harboring a deep-seated hatred for the team. Let’s discuss the hatred that spills for the Yankees.

The New York Yankee is just not one of the most successful, but the richest MLB franchises. Yankees have often got hatred from the fans and the supposed reason is they have never formed a team but have just bought players by cashing off bundles. People also believe that being cash-rich, the Yankees have been over-paying their players.

While the Yankees’ management and franchise are often the focus of criticism, their fanbase isn’t without its controversies. Although much of it is just typical sports banter, there have been instances where Yankees fans have taken things too far—like pouring beer on supporters of other teams or getting into scuffles in the stands.

But on the other side of the story, it is also believed that it’s the Yankee’s success that makes them indigestible to the other franchise fans and not their rich banks and fans. The MLB franchise has won 27 World Series titles, the most any franchise has. To top that, they have also claimed 40 American League pennants. Irrespective of being infamous and hated, the Yankees might have got a new fan now, the WNBA ROTY contender Caitlin Clark.
