The W athletes have proved that they are deserving of mounting more money. The rookies in general will be making the lowest since the pay grades for the draft selections are already decided. The Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark will be earning a base salary of $76,535 whereas the Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese will be making $73,439 this year. However, a piece of positive news awaits the stars.

Both the stars will be cashing in on $2,575 which will help add more weight to their bank balance and make them proud of being among the few who will be privy to such payment. The amount will add a star of individuality to their already studded armor.

Both Reese and Clark made it to the WNBA All-Star team, which was announced in early July. While Clark was the highest vote-getter among fans with 700,735 votes, Reese was placed in fifth place in fan votes (381,518). Thus, both of them made it to the WNBA All-Star team that will be playing against Team USA selected for the Paris Olympics due to the quadrennial event taking place this year.

The game will take place on Saturday and start at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT. It can be streamed live on Fubo and can be watched on ABC, as per USA Today. The bonus will be awarded to all the players participating in the WNBA All-Star team and is worth $2,575. But this is not the only chance at making more money.

The WNBA All-Star MVP will add $5,150 to their account whereas the one who wins the three-pointer contest and skills competition will make $2,575 in the next few hours since the game will take place on Saturday (exactly 126 hours from now). Meanwhile, even those who are selected for those contests will be making $1,030. Hence, Clark and Reese have the chance to get their hands on more money. However, it is not only Clark and Reese who can cash in more bills.

Which other players will enjoy the benefit?

The WNBA roster consists of stars DeWanna Bonner, Aliyah Boston, Allisha Gray, Dearica Hamby, Brionna Jones, Jonquel Jones, Kayla McBride, Kelsey Mitchell, Arike Ogunbowale and Nneka Ogwumike. Thus, these stars can also perform their best and not only get their hands at the participation bonus but also make money by giving astounding performances.

Meanwhile, Clark and Reese also have a chance at getting their hands at the Rookie of the Year award. This will also certainly add to their earnings. The ROTY award winner actually gets a bonus of $5,150. Hence, this is another way the stars can tackle low pay that has been highlighted by the media multiple times.

Whoever gets the award in the end, fans will be happy that even in the participation stage there is a bonus reserved for all the WNBA All-Star players. And they will be hoping that Clark and Reese make more money in the three-pointer contest and skills competition. Plus, the ROTY award at the end of the year will again be beneficial if Reese or Clark who are the frontrunners for the award win it.
