While Aces teammates were later to chime in, earlier Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava didn’t miss a chance to highlight the rumored couple. During the ceremony honoring Adebayo, Cava mentioned,

“Yeah, A’ja Wilson, and she won gold in women’s basketball. I guess that’s got something to do with Bam and the Heat, right?
