“I don’t think I’ll ever get in, like I had a public breakup.” Angel Reese has shared how her perspective on public relationships has evolved, especially after her breakup with Cam’Ron Fletcher. She now believes that keeping relationships private is crucial, only revealing details when it’s serious, like marriage. Since the 22-year-old has often spoken about the lessons learned from her past relationship, it was no surprise that she touched on the topic when hosting UFC Knights star Mikey Williams.
The rising college basketball star joined Angel Reese on her podcast, Unapologetically Angel, where they discussed their future aspirations, especially regarding relationships. During their conversation, Reese asked the 20-year-old if he had any children, to which he quickly replied no. “You want to marry before you got kids, right?” Reese probed. “Because we’re breaking this little branch right now that we’re gonna marry before the kids.”
Without hesitation, Williams stated, “Yeah, for sure I don’t want no baby Mama,” expressing his strong stance against having children before marriage. His viewpoint, while similar to Reese’s new belief in keeping things private until marriage, pleasantly caught her off guard. She was surprised by how traditional his perspective seemed, especially in today’s world.

“All right, that’s a first. That’s a good, that’s a good thing right there,” Reese responded, clearly intrigued. She further added, “Love that for us.” It’s worth mentioning that while the Chicago Sky forward seemed impressed, there had been baseless rumors in the past about Reese being pregnant during her relationship with Cam’Ron Fletcher. Nevertheless, the Chi-Town Barbie has been open about her stance on relationships since their breakup.

Angel Reese on past relationships and her stance on privacy
In 2023, Angel Reese got Cam’Ron Fletcher’s name tattooed during their relationship, but it took an unexpected turn and ended after a year. While the breakup itself was manageable for Reese, she regretted making the relationship public, as it led to complications. I one of the past episodes on her podcast, she said, “I don’t think I’ll ever get in, like I had a public breakup but like obviously I didn’t get what you received. But I don’t think I would get into another public relationship unless I’m getting married.”

Reese and Fletcher shared a close bond, with Reese revealing they’d known each other for six years. However, as Reese’s career took off, Fletcher’s season ended early due to an injury. Speculation suggested that their growing distance, due to Reese’s travel commitments, contributed to their breakup. “Like, obviously, his name wasn’t as big as mine but like just being able to see them commenting on his pictures of my name. Like just leave it, like I don’t like that, like I agree it’s just too much for me,” Reese had mentioned.
