More often than not, the bond between the “very unserious” Las Vegas Aces teammates becomes the highlight for their fans. However, the bond that these 2x WNBA champions share with their head coach Becky Hammon is also just as refreshing. Just a few days ago, we saw Hammon shoot an NSFW joke towards A’ja Wilson which the 2x Olympian aptly replied with. Now, the 27-year-old forward takes a hit at the coach for one of her behaviors on the court’s sidelines.

Recently, A’ja Wilson shared a story on her Instagram. The reigning WNBA Finals MVP can be seen hysterically laughing at a fan’s accusations which she also approved. Wilson captioned her story, “Lmfaoo cussing and fussing.” She also attached a video of the fan who shared a clip from an NFL game where their coach is steaming up with the outcomes on the field.

The caption on that post says, “Becky: I really hate yelling, I try to be civil at games. Also Becky at The Aces football games… I mean basketball games.” It is certainly quite aptly put as despite the Aces winning games in streaks, Hammon is usually on the sidelines frustrated with how everything is playing out on the floor. Interestingly, the fact also holds true when the team is actually leading a game with a huge margin.

Still, it is commendable how calm the head coach stays with her players who she knows will bring a victory at the end of the day. But before the All-Star break, Las Vegas will be hosting the Chicago Sky and hope to keep their win streak alive. The comical moments of A’ja Wilson and Becky Hammon

The fans of the Las Vegas Aces know how unserious the team is. But the same mood coming out in front of the entire press is simply hysterical. After their last game with the Atlanta Dream, the late-night press conference somehow got to A’ja Wilson’s witty nerves. When Hammon was praising the veteran for her blocks by talking about how efficiently she was handling the ball, the Columbia native jumped up with a coy smile and said, “You know how I do!” If that was not enough, A’ja Wilson reshared the clip on her every social media account. On X, she wrote, “Gotta love some good D…efense 🤸🏾‍♀️” 

Before that, when the 2x WNBA DPOY won the ESPYS Best Athlete Award, Hammon spoke about how A’ja Wilson is focusing on the present. However, she also added, “A’ja was in her room watching Bob’s Burgers whatever that is.” Adding more to her comment, she said, “Clearly she likes to watch eating shows or something to relax.” Increasing the funny quotient in the entire conversation was the fact that everyone started to explain the cartoon to the head coach.

Whether it is some adult comedy or some lame one, the Aces always find ways to entertain themselves. Certainly, the effect of their camaraderie is visible in how they perform on the floor as well. But the back-and-forth between A’ja Wilson and Becky Hammon surely takes away the comical crown.
