The Caitlin Clark effect has held Indiana captive! With how the Fever is doing commercially after last year’s draft, there’s no doubt that Clark has greatly impacted viewership and sales. The Iowa Hawkeyes alum has been breaking records since her time in college and created history along the way. She would sell out stadiums, and fans would pay thousands just to see her play.
In a surprising turn of events, the Indiana Fever president Kelly Krauskopf has added another game to the team’s preseason calendar. On May 4th, the Indiana Fever will be playing the Brazilian National Team at the Carver-Hawkeye arena.
It is bound to be a special occasion for Caitlin Clark, a homecoming of sorts. The Fever president had only good things to say about the addition of this game. “We couldn’t be more excited to play at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and we know Iowa fans will deliver an unforgettable homecoming for Caitlin,” Krauskpof said.

With Angel Reese getting a similar homecoming, it’s clear that the WNBA is recognising the two young stars. Both games are expecting to sell out completely, and fans are all for it. Some are suggesting that these games should be higher in number, as they would be a guaranteed sell-out every night. Regardless, the buzz around these pre-season games is starting to grow. It will be one of the largest sporting events in Iowa this year, and we can’t wait to tune in!
