The Las Vegas Aces are having an exceptional time off-court following their heroics on the court. After lifting their second consecutive WNBA championship, the Aces are getting all the appreciation. A familiar face from the Aces locker room, Alysha Clark, recently received a special gratitude from her people.

The three-time WNBA champion is on cloud nine after a special gesture from her hometown. Following this, she couldn’t help but let her emotions flow their natural course and got teary.

Alysha Clark couldn’t hide her elation after her hometown Tennessee, Mt. Juliet officially declared Nov 11 as “The Alysha Clark Day”. The WNBA Sixth Player of the Year attended the event on Saturday in front of her home crowd at Fellowship Church in Mt. Juliet. Furthermore, Mt. Juliet Mayor James Maness, along with Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto, were also present there to honor Alysha for her accomplishments. Following this, the champion forward took to Instagram to share her emotions with her fans. Alysha posted, “I can?t believe that November 11th from here on out with be ?Alysha Clark Day? at home. Like WHAT!?

Born in Denver, Colorado, Alysha’s parents made a move to Tennessee where she attended Mt. Juliet High School. Soon after, she showed her interest in basketball and decided to represent Mt. Juliet in big-time tournaments. She contributed with an impressive average of 24 points and 11.6 rebounds as a senior. In addition to this, Alysha had a shooting accuracy of 78 % from the foul line and 67% from the floor. As a result, she was awarded the AAU All-American and was also named 3A Miss Basketball. Furthermore, Clark is also the Tennessean Midstate Player of the Year for her invaluable contributions. Later, she made it to the Tennessee All-Star Team and even won the MVP for the Tennessee tournament. Last but not least, Gatorade also named her as the Tennessee Player Of The Year.

The comeback victory of the Aces over the Liberty has so many interesting stories. Their No.7, Alysha Clark played was a formidable figure on the team’s defensive front. The current WNBA Most Valuable Player and Liberty’s power forward Breanna Stewart had a tough time dealing with Alysha in Game 4 of the Finals. Clark limited Stewart to just 10 points for the night and was responsible for her low-scoring average of 23 ppg. Further, she tied the match at 51 for the Aces in the third quarter by landing a ?two-point bucket.

The iconic face women’s basketball has accomplished wonders in the WNBA through her hard work and dedication.
