Angel Reese has been nothing but magical for Chicago and tonight was no different. She became a menace on the entire floor and a huge trouble for even great players like Jonquel Jones. Grabbing rebounds, forcing fouls, and making smart steals is becoming her thing in the W. Hence, there is no surprise when her coach Teresa Weatherspoon praises the 3-game-old rookie who has boosted the team to its second season win.

Talking to the reporters after a great win, ‘T-Spoon’ called Reese’s ability to grab rebounds a knack. Adding more, she said“She’s just relentless. There’s a relentless pursuit for the ball. And that’s who she is, that’s what she is about.” The head coach also said that knowing how to get a rebound is about studying the positions and the players.

Praising Reese for studying players on how their shots go, Weatherspoon mentioned, “She understands there’s levels to this thing. She puts the work in. She’s a competitor, she’s a winner, she wants to win. She’s adding to her game.” Applauding Angel Reese for being a great teammate, ‘T-Spoon’ said, “One thing about her, she doesn’t care about scoring. She cares about winning.”

Although there hasn’t been much time since Chicago welcomed Reese, she has become an undetachable part of the team. She has attended concerts with her teammates, has gifted them Dr. Dre headphones, and does not miss a chance to know the whys and hows of her fellow Sky mates. Evidently, she is keeping her coach and teammates happy on the floor. But between the lines, she does not want to make anyone happy at the cost of a win. Let us see how she upset the Liberty.

Angel Reese becomes the new face of the Sky

The ‘Chi-Town Barbie’ is relentless, bold, and unapologetic. Another thing is she is also a winner. Tonight’s performance was a teaser of what she can really be. Attracting foul from Jonquel Jones of the Liberty to drop the first two points of the night, she set the tone of how Chicago was going to drive tonight. In total, she received 9 free throws of which she converted 7 for a 77.8% accuracy from the free throw line. She made 13 points and 9 rebounds, again shy of a double-double.

Moreover, with a team-high rebounding rate, she also grabbed another record. Tonight, she became the third WNBA player to make 15+ rebounds in the first three games. Consequently, she joins Natalie Williams and Yolanda Griffith for the achievement.
