When Angel Reese joined the Chicago Sky in this year’s draft, she arrived with a stellar collegiate track record. Her two years at LSU were nothing short of remarkable, especially since she transferred from Maryland with a clear goal: to win the NCAA championship. And win she did. But don’t think that victory made her take a breather. If anything, Reese’s drive only intensified.
When “The Money Game” premiered on Prime Video this Tuesday, it spotlighted six athletes, including Angel Reese, who shared their personal stories. A fan account recently posted a snippet from the docuseries, offering a glimpse into Reese’s mindset following her NCAA title win. Speaking about the same, the rookie’s agent, Jeanine Ogbonnaya, also featured in the series, revealed, “Angel has not had a week, a day, an hour off since she won the national championship.”
The Lady Tiger led LSU to the title in the 2023 season and even made headlines in the finals with her gesture against her arch-rival Caitlin Clark. Averaging 23 points and 15.6 rebounds per game, Reese’s standout performance opened the floodgates for numerous brand deals through NIL opportunities. Reflecting on her drive and relentless work ethic, Reese shared “I am not doing a deal just for three months. I wanna work with these brands for a life time.”

The rookie also explained why the deals are important as she said, “And for the women’s side, stacking your money for four years straight is something that’s gonna be helpful, especially women that may not go the next level. You kind have to get it how you get it.”
During her time at LSU, Reese capitalized on every opportunity, signing numerous deals that made her the athlete with the most NIL partnerships across all college men’s and women’s basketball players.
Angel Reese’s NIL Valuation skyrocketed after the Championship
Before LSU embarked on its 2023 NCAA tournament run, Reese’s NIL valuation stood at $371,000, according to On3. However, after leading her team to the championship, her NIL worth skyrocketed, surpassing the million-dollar mark and reaching an impressive $1.3 million.
As her NIL valuation soared, Reese’s social media following also saw a massive surge, growing to an incredible 3.6 million after the Women’s NCAA Final Four. This boost in popularity catapulted the LSU star to the No. 3 spot in On3’s women’s basketball NIL rankings.
“I can see the positive. All the attention that the women’s basketball is getting because this whole year I’ve gotten nothing but a lot of support and so many people saying ‘I turned the basketball game because I wanted to see your team. You guys have brought me to watch women’s basketball,” said Reese via the podcast I Am Athlete. As Angel Reese continues her journey with the Chicago Sky, her influence both on and off the court shows no signs of slowing, with her current NIL value estimated at $3 million.
