Swoopes, who played during a time when social media didn’t exist, shared her perspective hesitantly. She said, ?I do think social media makes a big because now it?s like you can interact with the players,?

She further continued, ?I think social media is huge. But, when you have, like I?ll say this, it doesn?t make me feel good to say it. But, when an NBA player signs the line and they go out to watch a game and they?re like and they show all these NBA players at a WNBA game, people tune in.?

She added, ?My point being if LeBron James comes to a game and the WNBA post and they talk about LeBron James is at the game, people tune in, they?re like, ?LeBron James is there, let me see what this is all about.? So I do think that?s one of the biggest differences is we didn?t have social media like that.?
