After a gritty showdown at Wintrust Arena, the Las Vegas Aces edged out the Chicago Sky with a nail-biting 75-77 victory. The game hinged on a standout performance from none other than A’ja Wilson. Wilson was truly the driving force behind the Aces’ success. However, it was that last basket from the 28-year-old that secured the win for the team, and the Aces center received applause from all around.

The crowd went wild when Wilson made a clutch play in the final seconds, sinking a crucial shot just before the buzzer. It was an assist from Chelsea Gray to Wilson who then cruised through the Sky’s defense and earned the two winning points for her team. The 28-year-old was phenomenal throughout as she scored 20 points, the most from the Aces side in the game.

Not just that, she also played her defensive role with 18 rebounds in her name and made two assists as well. However, it was not an easy victory for Wilson and Co. as they struggled during the first two quarters. In fact, they somehow managed a narrow two-point lead by the half-time. Interestingly, the game’s officiating was also put to question and Wilson was the one who showed her frustration during the game.

“If I get fined… I am terribly sorry but it’s ridiculous. We have been going through this all season,” stated the Aces forward. But, that would be of little importance now as the team got what they came for, which is the crucial victory for their mission to clinch their third straight WNBA title. And now, let’s take a look at all the praises coming for A’ja Wilson for her brilliant show.

A’ja Wilson’s win sends ripples through the basketball world

Not just the crowd at Wintrust Arena, Wilson’s win made waves all the way to the NBA. Watching Wilson’s performance against the Sky, even LeBron James couldn’t resist putting some words of appreciation for the Aces player. “GAME BLOUSES!!!!! @_ajawilson22,” tweeted the Los Angeles Lakers legend. Recently, both of these stars led their nation to the Olympic gold medal in Paris.
