The perfect athlete-product collaboration doesn’t exist. Or does it? Well, it certainly does for Angel Reese. The Sky rookie joined hands with Reese’s pieces in August, breaking the news with the announcement for “Reese’s Angel” merch. And now the ‘Chi-Town Barbie’ is back with yet another deal that will set the tone for athlete-product partnerships in the years to come. This fall, Reese will be associating herself with Reese’s Puff, something that, according to the Baltimore native, was her childhood dream. And with this, she will join the esteemed company of Diana Taurasi and Sheryl Swoopes.
“Not only does this fulfill my childhood dream of being on a cereal box, but there couldn’t be a better fit for me to join forces with than REESE’S PUFFS cereal. This collaboration is such an honor, and I can’t wait for fans to get their hands on the cereal box and see what’s next in this partnership,” the LSU alum confirmed in a statement.
The brand has decided to feature Reese on the cereal boxes that will have four unique designs. According to ‘Business Wire’, it is an ode to the balling and fashion skills of Reese by a product that itself has different flavors, like chocolate and peanut butter and milk and cereal.

Fans can flock to the local general stores and get their hands on the four cereal boxes that are selling out fast at a price of $5.69. General Mills, which has a market cap of $41 billion, launched Reese’s Puffs in May 1994 and the brand has been going strong ever since. Meanwhile, the WNBA’s seventh-overall pick can be gearing up for more collab products with Reese’s Puffs, which echoes the same sentiments as that of Sheryl Swoopes and Diana Taurasi’s collaboration with Wheaties cereal.
In 1999, the Denver Broncos star Terrell Davis had an offer from General Mills Inc. to get featured on the Wheaties cereal box, which he declined. Hence, when the company was said to be losing its charm, the Wheaties did something, in an attempt to rebuild the brand, that put WNBA athletes at the forefront. Six W stars were featured on the packet of Wheaties, including the legendary Sheryl Swoopes. The other athletes were Ruth Riley, Swin Cash, Tina Thompson, Nikki Teasley, and Lisa Leslie. The cereal was marketed as “the Breakfast of Champions” and looked to inspire kids to fulfill their dreams.

Then in 2007, Wheaties replicated its strategy, but this time with the Phoenix Mercury. The Mercury was fresh from their first WNBA championship win. In order to commemorate the achievement, the Wheaties put the entire W team on the box. This was the fourth time that the Wheaties had leveraged its brand power by honoring the W athletes. Thus, Taurasi found herself a place on the box along with her teammates in a group photo. The box had the caption “2007 Champions Phoenix Mercury.” And Reese, with her latest deal, has booked herself a spot among the legends with her name earning her these coveted deals.

Angel Reese’s collaboration with Reese’s Pieces
“Reese’s pieces where yall at?????,” Reese tweeted on X in August in an attempt to hint at her partnership with Reese’s pieces. The company, as per their brand manager, had been keeping an eye on the former Lady Tiger and wanted to make the most of her name. However, the inciting incident happened when they learned that her fans had started calling themselves ‘the Reese’s Pieces‘. Taking note of the same, they offered a lucrative deal to the former NCAA Champion, which she accepted.

As a part of the deal, Reese released the Angel Reese x Reese’s Pieces Logo Collection, Angel Reese x Reese’s Basketball Jersey, and Angel Reese x Reese’s Cup Logo Collection. These drops included cropped tees, t-shirts, hoodies, hats, a special jersey, and her peanut butter cup exclusive. This was an all in all win-win for the parties.
And now with the latest deal, Reese would be prepping up for future releases that could include merch, etc. Till then, fans can check their nearest store to buy themselves a box of Reese’s Puff.
