Kahleah Copper has never been one to hold back her thoughts, whether on or off the court. The former WNBA champion and Philadelphia native has always been vocal about her love for the Eagles, and with Super Bowl LIX in full swing, she wasn’t about to change that. But amid her support, Copper also had a few words about the game’s officiating.

As the Eagles clashed with the Kansas City Chiefs, she took to X to voice her frustration early on. “Refs starting early man. smh,” she penned, signaling her displeasure with the way the game was being called. Well, this passion isn’t something new for the Phoenix Mercury star.

Her support for her hometown team has always been there. In fact, when the Eagles marked a dominant NFC Championship win over the Washington Commanders, she was as excited as ever. Her excitement spilled over onto social media when her Mercury teammate and fellow Philly native, Natasha Cloud, tagged her in a celebratory post.

“@kahleahcopper we going👀🦅,” Cloud wrote. Copper’s response? A two-word declaration: “LETS HUNNNTTTTT🦅🦅🦅🦅.”

Well, Copper, who is averaging 18.7 points per game in Unrivaled, had already made her allegiance clear ahead of the big game. She posted a picture of herself in an Eagles jersey with the Unrivaled logo visible in the background.

It was a clear indication that even while grinding on the court, she was still locked in on Philly’s journey to a championship. But it isn’t just the Eagles that Copper is hyped up about.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Kahleah Copper's criticism of the refs justified, or is it just part of the game?

SaquonBarkley stood out among the roster by making history, setting the all-time record for total rushing yards in a single season, including playoffs. By doing so, he even surpassed Terrell Davis’ mark from 1998. By halftime, the Eagles had established a commanding 24-0 lead over the Chiefs and now stand on the brink of their second Lombardi Trophy.
