With her mesmerizing 3s from the logo, Caitlin Clark electrified the fans throughout her senior season at Iowa. With her Hawkeyes team supporting her moves, Clark developed her shooting from deep to the point where it became her signature go-to shot. However, before her WNBA draft, a lot of contemplation was being done by experts on the transition she had to go through from college to professional, with some also speculating about her path going south.
Now, given her competitive nature and strong willpower, Clark is fitting in just fine. It’s been a couple of days since the WNBA training camp took off and as a rookie, Clark is making some real progressive transition it appears.

Given how versatile a player needs to be while playing in the WNBA, Caitlin Clark is catching up to the scene quickly. She is establishing, rather, bonding into the team’s on-court chemistry which she elaborates as, “There’s been a couple passes I’ve thrown where they’re not even looking but they’ll like look at the last second. Um, and I think that’s just like a point guard thing. Like, the best way to learn is just try it and if you make a mistake you continue to go back to it and that was the same case in college, is you know, you’ll find that chemistry as you continue to play with each other more,” while counting in the similarities between college and professional basketball teams.
She also pointed out the difference in the availability of time, i.e. there is always a brevity of time in the WNBA. She simply says, “Obviously, you don’t have much time and the pros to like learn and you know have as much practice with one another but you know the skill level and talent you don’t need as much time because everybody’s really good. So, and ab has really great hands, Lexie has really great hands like both those two, our four and five players like they’re really solid, really athletic. Um so, I don’t really they’re they’re ready to go they want to score they’re looking for the ball.”
Only two days into training, Caitlin Clark has already switched on her beast mode as she is set to make her WNBA debut later this month. As a result, the pressure of the D-day approaching when she will be on the professional court for the first time in front of an endless crowd is setting in. But given Clark’s focused mindset, she is more than capable of handling this pressure and, more so, channeling it towards refining her game.

Meanwhile, her moves did leave quite an impression on her new teammates. Let’s explore what they have to say.
Blowing away with her killer moves
Recently her Fever teammates, Katie Lou Samuelson and Lexie Hull have been left awestruck after seeing Caitlin Clark in action in the past two days of the training camp. Enjoying Clark’s company as a valuable addition Lou says, “She’s been, she’s been great to play with, you know she’s a phenomenal passer and so for me as a shooter that’s something that is is super fun to play with. And, um, clearly she can shoot the ball and that’s something that everyone knows. But um, she’s just got a really good attitude, a really good um you know positive mindset about the season, that’s been been fun to play with.”

On the other hand, Lexie Hull too is having a great time with the all-time leading scorer saying, ” She’s great, she’s a great player, great person. Um, obviously very hard to defend. So, she’s bringing a great um offensive game to the fever and just excited to see how she does this year,” while she is counting on Clark on how she demonstrates her skills in her rookie season.
The WNBA season will be kicking off on May 14 with the Indiana Fever hosted by the Connecticut Suns.
