Sue Bird has been very vocal when it comes to showing support for the Aces. The former No. 10 of the Seattle Storm has been rooting for the Vegas team to lift their second consecutive WNBA title all season. However, there is one one star in that winning squad she has grown fond of. And together, they’ve brought glories in past.

Apart from sports spirit, the Jewish duo has been instrumental in Seattle’s WNBA championship victories in 2018 and 2020. Ironically, they beat the Las Vegas Aces in the Finals to lift the 2020 title.

Popular tennis player Rennae Stubbs hosted Sue Bird before Game 4 of the WNBA Finals. Stubbs later posted a short video on her Instagram story about her interview with Sue Bird. In the video, Sue said, “You gotta have Plum, A’ja, and Jackie Young. Those three need to get off. There has to be that fourth player that needs to have a big game. That’s Alysha Clark. I’ll be talking her up right now. I’ll be trying to run some stuff through her. She’s been to the Finals, she knows what it takes. She’s capable.”

Sue Bird has been following Alysha Clark very closely both on and off the court. Recently, she posted a story about Alysha dedicating her WNBA title to her late father. This sweet gesture was well applauded by the fans.

Sue Bird and Alysha Clark were former teammates for the Seattle Storm. In her 17th season with the Storm, Sue became the first-ever woman to win WNBA championships in three different decades. Her fellow Israeli-American teammate Clark made it to the WNBA All-Defensive First Team that season.

While Sue Bird is no longer a teammate of Alysha Clark who has made a move to Vegas, it is appreciable to see the bond between the two. But it is not the first time that Sue has cheered Alysha and it definitely won’t be the last.
