The second meet-up between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark turned out to be a blockbuster for the fans. As it turned out, both the rookies lived up to their hype and matched the expectations of the 17,274 people at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. However, the fixture gained a lot of traction in the closing moments, courtesy of a flagrant foul committed by Reese on her adversary. There have been several people who believe that the actions of Chicago’s ferocious rookie on Sunday fall within the laws of the sport. One of them is American sports analyst and former professional football player Emmanuel Acho.
Sitting alongside James Jones, LeSean McCoy, and Ric Bucher on Fox Sports 1, he said, “Angel Reese should not be suspended for that foul. It was a basketball play.” However, there was one distinctive thing that he wanted to point out in front of his fellow analysts.
“Angel, your actions are starting to speak so loud we can’t hear what you’re telling us,” Acho said on Fox Sports 1’s Speak. Acho was referring to the fact that Reese, ahead of LSU’s Elite Eight matchup against Clark’s Iowa, had declined the sort of animosity between her and Caitlin Clark.

Anyhow, in their Commissioner’s Cup opener fans witnessed the 3x All-American forward enjoying and celebrating Chennedy Carter’s body check on Clark. This was followed by various off-court antics by Reese pointing towards a sense of hostility between the two rookies. An interesting point by the former linebacker of the Philadelphia Eagles further proves this theory.
Is Caitlin Clark a specific target for the Chicago Sky?
Moments later, the 33-year-old came forth with a noteworthy statistic. He said, “There have been 540 minutes of Chicago Sky basketball. Out of which Caitlin Clark has played 74 minutes against the Sky. The Sky only has 2 flagrant fouls all season. Y’all wanna know who the 2 flagrant fouls are on? Caitlin Clark.”
Like the one on June 16, the other Caitlin Clark incident that grabbed a lot of eyeballs was Chennedy Carter’s vigorous shoulder push to the 6-foot guard. At that time, the officials didn’t issue a flagrant or technical foul immediately. Later, WNBA termed it to be a flagrant-1 violation after reviewing it closely.
