Last week, LA Sparks player Lexie Brown called out NBA 2K over her inaccurate representation in the most recent edition of the popular basketball video game franchise. The game has gained a sizable fanbase over the years and is renowned for its accurate portrayal of NBA and WNBA players. However, Lexie Brown’s portrayal of the in-game character seemed to offend her. She appeared entirely bald in the game, which was an unexpected change from earlier versions. Brown then proceeded to go on a rant on Twitter.

Hours after her video went viral on Twitter, she received a response from the game’s team, putting an end to her frustration.

Lexie Brown was forthright in a recent video post when she addressed her ‘horrendous’ avatar in the NBA 2K24 game. Brown demanded fervently, ?If you are going to include us, include us,? Brown stated. ?We (WNBA players) are featured in NBA 2K. We?ve been in 2K the last two or three 2Ks. And everything has been fine. We?ve got face scans that make us look okay? For whatever reason this year, they said fu** the WNBA. Cause, look at my player??

Her rant shortly went viral on social media and the game’s team has finally responded to her.

Writing “for those who said we weren?t important enough for a response,” Lexie Brown shared a screenshot of a conversation she had with Ronnie Singh, the Digital Marketing Director for 2K Games. He cleared that Brown has 3 rotating hair designs out of which one was faulty. The team then fixed the issue soon, and Brown shared an image of the updated character look.

However, Ronny had a request for her, “It’s officially fixed if you want to make another video,” he wrote.

Brown admitted that she didn’t expect the video to go viral. However, he stood firm in his request, “Time to make another (video).”?

Brown wrote in a subsequent tweet, “my video was actually a jokey joke that reached the incorrect audience. i don?t even play video games, but seeing the W in 2k is dope. wanting to be represented as accurately as possible shouldn?t be an issue.”

Brown also made her stance clear on Ronnie’s request, “I?m not making another video btw. I love my ponytail though.”
