Ever since the Tigers won an NCAA championship in 2023, one of their standout athletes, Angel Reese, did not get to rest. Sadly, more than her popularity, it was because of the criticism she faced. However, now that she has entered the WNBA and is beginning a fresh chapter of her life, Amanda Seales has become her voice against the troller and former NFL player, Emmanuel Acho.

Talking about his comments on a breaking Reese, Amanda Seales gave her response during a conversation on the ‘Club Shay Shay’ with Shannon Sharpe. Before the NFL legend could even speak up, she began her narrative, saying, “Angel Reese is a young person. Do you know how disgusting that is and that cornball a** n**** who loves to make himself look like the white people savor,” Seales claimed, while continuing, “Come talk to me, white people; I’m the black guy that’s nice. Cut it out; it’s ridiculous.”

Angel Reese has been a pillar of women’s college basketball ever since she entered the gates of LSU. However, with the popularity she garnered, she also faced a lot of backlash and criticism. And while she did not budge from her goal of winning another championship title for the Tigers, based on the various comments, the media even tagged her as the villain. When the then-21-year-old finally broke down after her Elite Eight loss at the hands of Iowa, many came forward to judge her.

Certainly, the Comedian actress had some serious takes for Acho. To jog your memory, let us recap what the Fox Sports 1 analyst did that brought such a backlash to his name.

A chapter from history: Emmanuel Acho on Angel Reese

It has not even been a month since the Tigers lost the Elite Eight round to the NCAA’s scoring queen, Caitlin Clark, and the Hawkeyes. Hence, the attention that Acho’s comment garnered is still quite fresh in everyone’s minds, especially those who really wish for a racial or gender-neutral platform. Confusing the two things, Emmanuel Acho let the train of his thoughts run without a break on SPEAK Live. “I’m about to give a gender-neutral, racially indifferent take. Angel Reese, you can’t be the big bad wolf but then kind of cry like Courage the Cowardly Dog. Nobody mourns when the villain catches an L,” he remarked.

Although the former linebacker disguised his response to Reese’s crying as neutral ground, even his colleagues took a stand against him. Taylor Rooks quipped, “Your response here is actually full of opinions that indirectly (and directly) involve both race and gender. It’s just coded to unsuccessfully soften the blow.” And this take quickly led to an online display of rage, with everyone taking Reese’s side and opposing Acho.

While Angel Reese has not answered any of his words yet, we can be quite sure that she is again playing the game where she simply does not care about people who go against her. Although she is no longer the ‘Bayou Barbie’, Reese has clearly garnered the talent of not being bothered by others; especially the ones who stood as hurdles in her path to the new ride.
