Both Stephen Curry and Cameron Brink have made a good name for themselves as distinguished sports personalities. As a result, it takes a lot of patience and courage to handle the kind of pressure their kids might have to face from time to time. The godmothers kept their rulebook handy whenever they needed it to show support to their budding hoopers. That’s what Sonya’s new book has been talking about recently.
Sonya Curry talks about her new book – ‘Fierce Love’
“I was extremely intentional about how I wanted to raise my children,” shared Sonya as a mother of two basketball stars, Seth and Stephen, and content-creating daughter, Sydel Curry-Lee. Sonya always has a lot on her plate with spending time with her 8 grandchildren, going on shoots for TV shows, and the travel that comes along with it. However, she did see through what was left of her time and decided to write the book.

Moreover, the encouragements were coming in from time to time. “People would always stop me and tell me how wonderful my children were. I always laughed and proclaimed that I didn’t feel like I was doing anything extraordinary or above and beyond what any other parent was doing,” she elaborated on how fans would give suggestions to her writing a book.
In her book, Curry emphasizes that mothers should keep self-care a top priority for themselves. Motherhood has a whole new definition with today’s mothers often being the ones bringing bread to the table. As a result, she is giving out the message that maintaining a work-life balance has become an important component along with daily prayers and meditation as their role in their children’s lives is going to change as they start to grow old.
