Now as a part of another game-changing team, Kate Martin is again making her name as a great teammate.

Kate Martin in the three-peat mission

The surprise pick in the 2024 WNBA draft has been quite useful for the Aces in their three-peat tourney. In fact, the rookie has been quite some help to the rather short team in adding deep shots from beyond the arc. In her last game where her former Iowa teammates came, she added 9 points and 3 rebounds. Martin also aided in playmaking with 2 assists in the absence of Chelsea Gray.

In general, she is averaging 6 points and 4.3 rebounds. This shows that the rookie is adding to both ends of the court for the team, something that Dyaisha Fair could not achieve and hence lost the roster spot. The 2x consecutive winners have quickly climbed the charts and are now standing in the second spot, right under the league leaders and the only undefeated team so far– the Connecticut Sun. In the Western Conference, the reigning champions are ruling with the first spot after a 4-1 record.

It is interesting to see how Kate Martin has been involved on the floor since the beginning. She has played 4 games and is averaging at least 21 minutes per game. Undeniably, the fans are in line to watch this rookie grow with one of the top teams in the league.
