A video clip from Sparks guard Lexie Brown’s appearance on Gil’s Arena podcast, recently surfaced on X. The footage revealed Brown seemingly disconnected from a conversation about the best players in the game, a discussion that took an unexpected turn. During the segment, the hosts appeared to poke fun at Brown’s playing abilities. At one point, Gilbert Arenas even commented, “You’ve been getting a little sassy lately.”

Despite the jab, Brown remained composed, though it was clear she wasn’t pleased with the consistent mockery. However, she didn’t choose to remain silent once stepped out of the show and has expressed her disappointment on social media, calling out NBA legends Arenas and Rashad McCants for being rude.

She retweeted that clip on X and wrote, “kept it cute and kept it moving. y’all can say whatever yall want about how i hoop…i do not care 😂😂😂😂 he was rude the entire time.” It was a response that showed she wasn’t afraid to speak up, even if she remained composed on air. The latest season saw Brown featuring in 16 games, starting 8 of them. She clocked an average of 23.7 minutes and scored 8.1 points per game.

Away from the court, Brown has been one of the frequent hosts on the Gil’s Arena alongside Josiah Johnson, Brandon Jennings, Kenyon Martin, and Rashad McCants for over a year now. They have disagreed on takes multiple times, including the time when Arenas argued Caitlin Clark was being disrespected in the league, been on the same page a lot more, and even showed up to cheer the Sparks #4 when she struggled.
