Phoenix Mercury is on a good run this year, all thanks to their GOAT player Diana Taurasi. However, being in the same league for more than two decades can take a toll on your mental health. So far, Diana Taurasi has been through eight coaches in Mercury, a pandemic, and five Olympics. Further, she has even seen the league expand and transform. And as a player who speaks upfront about anything and everything, she surely had to shine some light on how she keeps her mental space right.

Sending her message through during the post-game interview, she said“Mental health is something that obviously, it’s mental health awareness month and it’s such a huge thing. It’s something that has changed over my twenty years. We’re in such a great place where people can get help and move forward from whatever is hindering them.”

Shedding light on how she keeps herself in focus, the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer said, My solution to that is always do the work. When it gets harder, I do more work. I find solace in accomplishing things, getting things done. Little tasks, being a good teammate, you know, taking care of my family. I kinda cut all the white noise around me that really doesn’t mean anything. I keep my family really close, and I keep my circle really tight and I try to accomplish as many things as possible before I die.”
