The Las Vegas Aces have unquestionably dominated the world of women’s basketball throughout the WNBA season, solidifying their position as the favorites to win the title again. Wilson’s tenure in the league has been nothing short of extraordinary. Many believe that she is on a path toward an induction into the Hall of Fame.
But despite her apparent brilliance and contributions to the success of her team, A’ja Wilson frequently does not receive the degree of credit she truly deserves. Kelsey Plum is perplexed by this and wonders what could be causing it.
She said talking about Wilson, “I sit back, and I watch just a body of work right. And we talk about accolades. You know some people weigh it on accolades, some people weigh it on statistics. Some people weigh it on you know big games… big moments. I mean you name it she’s done it. Like I don’t know what else she could have done.”
Plum pointed out how Wilson has bagged multiple achievements including the MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, a World Championship and a USA Basketball World Championship. She even won the MVP of the world championships at USA Basketball, with a team full of best basketball players.
Plum stated,
“It’s like a clean sweep. I can’t remember the last player that’s done that.”“And you’re right I mean she gets shorted. She gets shorted all the time. And it’s amazing because she handles it with grace you know. She just keeps steady in who she is as a human being. And I think to me like my respect just grows tremendously. And people around the league like she’s just someone that carries a lot of weight in her voice because of how she carries herself.”Read More: Despite WNBA?s ?Money Failure?, Kelsey Plum Encourages Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark?s Million-Dollar DealsMeanhile, along with Breanna Stewart and Alyssa Thomas,
