One thing that definitely took the basketball world by storm was her deal with Nike. The 2x WNBA MVP finally penned down a contract that she truly deserves. Following the same, many basketball icons are coming up to greet her on the big news, starting with a respected WNBA legend, Sheryl Swoopes.

Instagram page Togethxr posted a video of the 4x WNBA champion wishing A’ja Wilson. She said, “Wassup A’ja, it’s your girl Sheryl. Of course, I heard the announcement! Listen, I just want to say, from a former 22 to another 22, congratulations. Super proud of you, so happy for you. No one deserves this more than you. Keep doing what you’re doing. Keep representing A, we love you, we support you. We got your back. Damn! I’m so happy for you!”

However, this is not the only information Swoopes wanted to pass through the message. Talking about Wilson’s book “Dear Black Girls,” the Houston Comets legend said, “Listen, I ordered my book, still need to get it signed but I ain’t buying those shoes. So, I need a pair. But seriously though, congrats! Keep doing you! Love ya!”

This 27-year-old athlete will become only the 13th WNBA star to have her own signature show. Looks like A’ja Wilson will now need to add another request in her contract with Nike to get a special pair for Sheryl Swoopes. However, this is not the only place where the greetings end. In her humorous manner, she began the video by tapping on the screen and asking basketball followers if they had any more questions. She also said, “A’ja’s doing something big. And sometimes when you are doing big, it takes a little bit longer than we want. So, let the best work at what they do so they can produce something super special. A’One, we out!”

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James also came for the ride. King James congratulated Wilson on his Instagram account. His tweet read, “Congratulations sis!!! Welcome to the sig crew! Well overdue.”
