The Las Vegas Aces scripted history at the sold-out Barclays Centre on Wednesday night. The Aces brushed aside the Liberty 70-69 in a nail-biting contest to win the Finals series 3-1. With this win, they became the first team in over 20 years to win back-to-back WNBA championships. The air on the basketball court was filled with emotions. Amidst the celebrations, Alysha Clark teared up in the middle of an interview.

Alysha Clark dedicated this win to her father. During her interview, she got emotional while remembering the contributions of her dad. She said, “He’s been with me all season. He’s been my sixth man. I know he would be so happy right now. I’m just so happy, I know he’s with me. I wish he could be here. But this is for him.”

Clark further added, “I showed up every day. I know he loved watching me play. Pops I hope I make you proud. I hope you’re sitting there joyously watching me play. That’s my prayer every game.”

The talented No.7 of the last Vegas Aces has won her third WNBA title. In 2018 she won the championship with the Seattle Storm.

A’ja Wilson steals the show yet again for the Aces

Game 4 of the WNBA Finals series included a lot of drama. A shorthanded Aces team fought back in the second half from an early double-digit deficit. A’ja Wilson with her sixth double-double led the charge as the Aces put on a wild display in the fourth quarter.

A’ja was awarded the WNBA Finals MVP. She finished the game with 24 points and 16 rebounds. The Aces pro– Jackie Young was not far behind with 16 points to go with her 7 assists. Furthermore, the Australian forward Cayla George scored 11 points.

But Alysha Clark has been an integral part of this record-making Dream Team. The three-time Israeli champion is the WNBA sixth player of the year this season.
