Caitlin Clark is all set and ready for the upcoming WNBA season. This was demonstrated by her in a recent preseason game which was also her debut between the Indiana Fever game and the Dallas Wings. The contest took place at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas and Clark gave a performance that sent shudders down the spine of her opponents. She potted 21 points which had the entire spectators happy since they got the worth of their ticket price. However, it was her signature move that caught all attention including that of her boyfriend Connor McCaffery.
Clark was seen tackling the Dallas Wings player Natasha Howard when she made her signature move. Looking to move to her right, Clark took a step back and deceived her opponent while moving to the left. Next, when she saw her opponent screening her, she made the choice that every Clark fan was waiting for. She potted a three-pointer which had the crowd gushing over her skills. Taking note of the same, her boyfriend Connor McCaffery sent a special message for Clark. He shared the video of the three-pointer on social media platform X and tagged Clark as “Toughhhh”

She potted 16 points in the first half and the next 5 in the second half. She also contributed to the team with her 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Unfortunately, she had 5 turnovers which showed that Clark still needs to work hard on her game if she is to make a formidable WNBA player. Another interesting stat to note was the 15 points that came from long threes, which shows how comfortable she is in her classic move.
The Dallas Wings ultimately won the game by a 79-76 margin as their guard Jaelyn Brown thrashed 21 points along with an almost 50% shooting rate. When talking of the Fever, other than Clark, NaLyssa Smith and Erica Wheeler smoked 20 and 16 points, respectively. The other highlight of the game was when Clark spoke of her debut.

Talking of her WNBA debut, Clark remarked that “the atmosphere” would be the most remembered thing as per USA Today. She also stated that she reminisces of her college debut and has “always dreamed of playing in the WNBA.” The game was a thriller since at one time it was poised at 76 each for both teams. The 22-year-old continued, “You couldn’t ask for a better game, really, for women’s basketball.”
Perhaps, Clark needed a feel of the WNBA. And now that she has got one, she will remember this moment forever and go on to become the alpha she had been for the Hawkeyes in the NCAA.
