The unraveling of the third chapter in the WNBA rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese is scheduled at the Wintrust arena on Sunday. After the Indiana rookie got the better of her adversary on both previous occasions, the 3x All-American forward will be eager to strike her first blow in front of her home crowd. However, the intensity of their professional feud has gone to that extent where the Sky’s co-owner Nadia Rawlinson also spared a thought or two on both these phenomenal athletes.
Sky’s co-owner Nadia Rawlinson became the co-owner and operating chairman of the Chicago Sky in January last year. Then, in July, NBA legend and Chicago native Dwyane Wade became a new minority investor in the franchise by spending $85 million.
The 41-year-old recently interacted with WGN News reporter Josh Frydman. Midway through this interview, Rawlinson was asked to reflect on the way they have been talked about in the media. She went and said, “They’ve definitely gotten a lot of attention. They’ve gotten this attention because they are great at what they do. I think both Caitlin and Angel have handled themselves very well considering the scrutiny.”

Then she also opines that both these athletes are still very young. Therefore, people who point fingers at them need to remember this point before putting forth their harsh criticisms. Rawlinson further added, “I think there needs to be some grace that’s there and remind people that these are women who are making their way in this new chapter of the world.”
In addition to this, Rawlinson also evaluated the brewing competitiveness between the two former college ballers.
Sky’s co-owner assesses the Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese equation
Soon after, Dwayne Wade’s business partner dug deep into the friction between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Explaining the competitive spirit in both of them, she expressed, “They have been playing against each other for years. They know each other. They’ve had a great sort of run over the last few years. Getting to know each other on the court. Their style of play and they both have the right attitude about it.”
