Louisiana State University Lady Tigers superstar Angel Reese and her brother Maryland Terrapins Forward Julian Reese quite often pull each other’s legs. Their camaraderie was evident when Angel on Wednesday dissed Julian on Instagram for a dunk he scored off the assist from fellow teammate Donta Scott. Angel opined that the dunk was “weak.” Considering the season hasn’t started yet, where was Julian playing?
The 2023-24 NCAA season is supposed to kick off from November 6 and the Maryland Terrapins looked to prepare for the same. They had divided the team among themselves and were donning red and black jerseys. Julian Reese passed the ball to his teammate Donta Scott who later assisted him and helped Reese score off a dunk.

The Bayou Barbie reshared the video on her story yesterday and slammed her brother by calling his dunk “weak” in front of 2,500,000 people. For the unversed, the two share a relationship full of banter where both of them played basketball against each other since their childhood days, and hence it was obvious that both put their best skills and competitive spirits forward.
Both Angel and Julian honed their craft under the tutelage of their mother, Angel Webb Reese. The Big Angel, as they fondly call her, honed her craft as a hoop star and was inducted into the UMBC Athletics Hall of Fame. Julian, like her sister Angel, started off for Maryland and unlike her, continues to ply his trade for the Terrapins. He has upped his ante as a defender and has been a strong scorer for his team.
The Terrapins uploaded a video of the same on Instagram.

Angel, on the other hand, donned Maryland’s jersey before shifting base to LSU during her junior season. Then, Reese led LSU to win the championship title and earned the tournament Most Outstanding Player award.
Additionally, she held the NCAA single-season record with 34 double-doubles.
How did Angel Reese gravitate to fame
For Maryland, Angel played 35 games with 1.4 assists per game and 9.1 rebounds per contest, whereas Julian has played 66 games with an average of 5.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists per match. Angel shot to stardom when she signed 5 NIL deals, the most interesting one being with Sports Illustrated.
Post the swimsuit deal, Reese saw an unprecedented rise in her valuation close to $1.4 million. Despite being in her senior year, Reese had a valuation similar to a WNBA player.
