Even though her season her come to a premature end, Angel Reese remains in line to earn All-Rookie honors. She has been the most productive rookie in the 2024 WNBA season after Caitlin Clark, averaging 13.6 points, and a league-high 13.1 rebounds along with 1.9 assists per game. Hadn’t it been for her wrist injury, Reese would have made some more significant additions to her season and might have surpassed Alyssa Thomas’ single-season double-double record.
Nonetheless, she did manage to fill her resume with numerous other records that won’t be touched by any player shortly at least. Let’s have a look at all the records broken by her this season.

Always having a knack for grabbing rebounds, Angel Reese has made her mark in garnering the maximum number of rebounds in a single season at 446. Yes, she the Chi-Town Barbie has already broken a league record! She surpassed the 404 rebounds mark set by Sylvia Fowles after registering 19 rebounds in a game against the Minnesota Lynx on September 2.
As mentioned earlier, she is leading the league in this regard with 13.1 rebounds per game. Similarly, Reese is leading the WNBA with the maximum number of offensive rebounds at 172. These records she has broken/established are a defining factor of Reese’s stronghold in rebounding.
Furthermore, she also had a legendary double-double streak. It started in June when she recorded her first double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds against the New York Liberty. Reese broke a 14-year-old record of a 12-game double-double streak set by WNBA legend Candace Parker with her 13th consecutive double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds against Seattle on July 8. She extended this streak to 15 games before the Liberty stopped her from recording another double-double.
Before getting hit with a season-ending injury, Reese concluded her rookie season with 26 double-doubles, the most double-doubles in a single season by a rookie. This record is only 2 double-doubles shy of Alyssa Thomas’ single-season record of 28.

Moreover, keeping up with the pace of the league, Reese became the first player to register 3 consecutive games with 20 or more rebounds in late August when she recorded 20, 20, and 22 rebounds against Phoenix, Connecticut, and Las Vegas, respectively. To provide more context to why this is a stunning feat, only NBA’s Ben Wallace has managed to achieve the same in both the NBA and WNBA in the last 50 years. She also became the first rookie since her ‘Uncle’ Shaquille O’Neal to record consecutive 20+ rebound games.
Interestingly, Reese also holds a record alongside her Chicago teammate, Kamilla Cardoso, as the duo became the first rookie pair to have 15 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 65% or more in the same game. They achieved this feat in late June when they played against Indiana in which Reese recorded 25 points and 16 rebounds with 66.7% shooting while Cardoso scored 16 points and 10 rebounds with 77.8% shooting.
