The 2024 WNBA season is on and the flurry of comparisons between the ‘Bayou Barbie’ and 2024 Draft No. 1 pick Caitlin Clark are under practice. With the 2024 Eastern Conference in full swing, Indiana Fever has under its belt 7 games while Chicago Sky has 4. However, the statistics reveal that the 22-year-old Maryland native Angel Reese has finally got an edge over Indiana Fever’s guard.
While Clark stands tall at 6 feet, the ‘Bayou Barbie’ stands at 6’3″. These three extra inches over Clark make Reese a standout, especially in rebounds. To share this news with the basketball world, @blkbeauteous took to her X account and shared a picture of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Alongside the pictures, she penned, “Rookies and their #1 in the entire WNBA overall stat category. Offensive Rebounds—Angel Reese #1 Blocks—Cameron Brink #1 Turnovers—Caitlin Clark #1.”

Notably, Reese’s rebounds average 7.8 in the regular season, whereas Clark trails at 5.4 rebounds. But, Clark is not an easy game. Though, she failed to overcome intense competition from Reese in rebounds; she reigns with an average of 6.3 assists per game. Now, the question is: who’s better in overall stats: Caitlin Clark or Angel Reese?
Who dominates the 2024 WNBA season?
So far, Clark is the ultimate winner when considering all key statistics. Currently, Indiana Fever’s star averages 15.4 points per game with 6.3 assists. On the other hand, Chicago Sky’s player has only 12.3 points per game with 1.5 assists. Not only this, but Clark also averages 31.9 minutes per game, which is 2.9 minutes more than Reese.
Overall, in terms of stats, Clark is the clear-cut winner, at the moment. But what if we compare them based on their first three games to have a better comparison? Even in that case, Clark passes with flying colors. In the last three games, Clark has averaged 17 points and 5.6 assists per game.
Reese, on the other hand, has an average of 12 points and 1.3 assists per game. Quite evidently, these numbers state that even though Clark has lost the previous six matches, she has shown a far better performance than Angel Reese (who won the past two matches). Still, Reese can improve by bettering her points and assists in upcoming matches.
