Probably one of the most controversial figures in women’s basketball Elizabeth Cambage headlines herself again. In a monumental deal, the 4× WNBA All-Star has reassociated herself again with Chinese professional basketball powerhouse, Sichuan Yuanda Basketball Club. Moreover, one of the interesting specifics of her contract states that she is entitled to receive more than $1 million for her commitment to the franchise. Following this, some eminent WNBA names are coming forward to express their reactions to this exciting development. One of them happens to be Chicago’s fierce No.7 Chennedy Carter.
It didn’t take much time for the 25-year-old to involve herself in Cambage’s latest professional endeavor. Popular basketball media platform Swish Cultures made the first official announcement of this news. They shared it as a post captioned, “Liz Cambage re-signs with @sc.yuanda in China for $1M+ ✍️👀 it”. Soon after, Carter decided to showcase her excitement by using the post in one of her stories.
Cambage parted ways with Los Angeles Spark in July 2022 while criticizing the WNBA for its low salaries. But, it was not long before she made her basketball comeback in China when she signed a deal for three months with the Chinese team Sichuan. The contract was worth $1 million.

Even as a part of the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association, Cambage manages to find her fair share of troubles. Earlier this year, she faced an ejection on the back of two flagrant fouls in the WCBA Finals against Inner Mongolia. The incidents involved her knocking an opposition player down by hitting her on the face and upper neck. After this, she contested a rebound with an unsavory elbow. In addition to this, she also lashed out at the officials on her way out.

In the meantime, it looks like the 5 ft 9 shooting guard is leaving no stone unturned while enjoying Chicago’s victory over Indiana.
Chennedy Carter enjoying the team’s latest success
Earning their first professional victory over Caitlin Clark and Co. became a great source of delight for Chennedy Carter and the rest. She recently used Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ track to celebrate the occasion with her dressing room. Seemingly, she spent some of her off-court time enjoying on a boat.
At this time, she went live from her official Instagram account. On top of that, her fan interaction included teammates Marina Mabrey, Dana Evans, and Lindsay Allen. The three of them are seen dancing and lip-syncing the song together.
An exciting few days for Chennedy Carter and Chicago. The win not only boosted their confidence but also revived some of their playoff aspirations moving forward. Now, the fans will be excited to witness what they can bring to the table against the Aces next.
