The love story of Candace Parker and Anna Petrakova feels like a fairytale. The two met and stayed teammates while playing for the UMMC Ekaterinburg. Anna was in the US as a student and player at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. But fate was on their side as they did meet later in Russia.

Candace has always proven how much she loves Anna. She expressed the same love on Instagram when she posted a special V-Day message for the love of her life.

In the post, Candace Parker has put words to her feelings with a caption as pretty as the pictures. She wrote, “I love you! That can’t eat, can’t sleep, and reach for the stars type sh*t. Be my Valentine ❤️🌎YOU ARE MY HAPPY! #WhiteRussianDrink.

The images were also extremely adorable. The very first one showed Candace holding a chocolate cake with the icing saying, “Will you marry us?” There were also photos from their wedding, parties, casual outings, workouts, friends and family. The photos that definitely touched the hearts were of Anna with their baby boy– Airr Larry Petrakov Parker– and fur babies– Ace and Nahla.

Fans see so much love between the two. However, they did not let the news out for a long time.

Candace and Anna got married in a private ceremony in 2019 when Ace proposed to her partner. However, they only shared the happy news later in 2021, while announcing their first baby together– Airr. One of the reasons for the secrecy was because of Russia’s anti-LGBTQ policies. However, Candace Parker spoke about it later and said that going public was necessary to show her daughter Lailaa to be herself.

Fans are super proud of the two and how far they have come. With Candace recovering from her knee injury, fans are still waiting to see more of her on the court. They will be hoping to have the dynamic Ace star back on the hardwood as the WNBA 2024 season takes on a roll soon.
