The No.2 overall draft pick Cameron Brink seems to be enjoying her time in the WNBA. As a pro, the 22-year-old is displaying a fine exhibition of her skills on court which has resulted in her being second in this week’s WNBA Rookie Rankings. At the same time, she also doesn’t miss a chance to celebrate with her near and dear ones off the court.

The relationship between the Curry’s and the Brink’s is not a mystery for the basketball fans. Both these families have had close ties for decades and have flaunted their bond on social media very proudly. The 2024 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year gave another glimpse of that in her recent Instagram story. The rookie can be seen alongside her God-Sister Sydel and God-Mother Sonya enjoying quality spa time together.

This fancy get-together is just hours before Stephen Curry’s mother Sonya celebrates her 59th birthday. Brink reshared Sydel’s story that had the caption, “Early birthday spa day for @sacurry22.” However, that wasn’t the thing that was getting everyone ready for the occasion. Earlier, the author herself shared a picture of the three of them together along with a caption, “A great start to my bday weekend!!”

What’s next for Cameron Brink and Co?

The LA Sparks are currently at the bottom of the Western Conference Standings. Out of the 7 games, they have only won 2 and lost the rest. Moreover, their winning percentage stands at .286. The Mercury are placed just above their opponents for the Commissioner Cup opener having won 3 out of their 8 matchups. Also, they are having a 2-1 record while participating at the Footprint Center.

An exciting next few days for Cameron Brink and the rest of the Sparks. The task to take on Diana Taurasi’s Mercury will be a challenging one for them. Nonetheless, they can take inspiration and confidence from the pre-season victory they sealed against the franchise. Only time will tell if they are able to repeat it and make a fantastic start to their campaign.
